The Chinese also believed that the mushroom symbolized transformation, rebirth, and happiness. They believed that the mushroom only grows in peaceful times.

Several different cultures believed that the mushroom is a symbol of the human soul. Elsewhere,  the mushroom represents enlightenment. The mushroom can also represent masculinity, due to its symbolism of male fertility and virility.

Literature tells us that the mushroom is a symbol of immorality and eccentricity. Some people believe that the mushroom is a symbol of weird things or the unbelievable. The mushroom is also a symbol of the psychedelic realm and fantasy.
